GUCCI

Gucci, established in 1921, was founded by Guccio Gucci, a son of an Italian merchant. Gucci started as a small family business and sold saddler and leather goods. The first boutique of Gucci was opened in 1938, in Rome. Soon, Gucci gained it popularity for its unique designing and craftsmanship. In the year 1947, Gucci introduced their new series of bamboo handle handbags. These handbags are still the mainstay for the company. In the 1960s, Gucci developed its famous logo GG and became a part of celebrities' accessories. Jackie O shoulder bag made by the U.S president's wife Jackie Kennedy became very prominent in the Gucci's collection. In the 1970s, a whole new section of Gucci Accessories Collection (GAC) items were introduced and sold, including cosmetic bags, lighters, and pens.
